Outdoor Classrooms

Teaching outdoors is the perfect way to combine the natural environment with more practical learning. Being outside can provide the stimulating environment school children need to learn, create and explore. Built to your school’s individual requirements, each structure provides a sheltered space and can be used in all weather, providing shade in the summer months and shelter from the elements in wet weather.

If you are looking to create a natural outdoor classroom then there is no substitute for a thatched Lapa. These structures provide a unique outdoor teaching area for schools that can also be used as a quiet area during lunch breaks and playtime, an outdoor reading area or even a stage. There is no limit to the size of the Lapa nor to the integrations that can be made, such as bespoke furniture, heating, outdoor kitchen equipment and toilet facilities.

As an alternative to a traditionally thatched building, our outdoor classroom range includes contemporary gazebo structures for schools that can comfortably seat up to 30 children (age dependent and seated on benches) plus a number of integrations such as tiered seating, outdoor cushions and more.
